Kid’s Karma Workshops

Kids Karma is one of our favorite series here at ACY! Each month we host a 90 minute workshop for our young yogis (ages 4 and up) where we focus on yoga, meditation, mindfulness, community, and crafts! Every Kid’s Karma event has a unique theme. We accept 10 children at each event. Kids Karma groups are hosted at different venues.

Kid’s Karma Events

January - New Year, New Intentions
January's Kid’s Karma event incorporated meditations, visualizations, and yoga! We dove into discussions revolving around self awareness, individuality, and setting intentions for the new year. We jammed to some reggae music and created some goal oriented Arts and Crafts by making vision boards together.
To invite good karma and start serving our community in the new year, we will be collected arts and crafts materials to donate to children at The Crossnore Communities for Children.
February - The Self Love Project
February’s workshop included meditations, visualizations, yoga poses, mantra singing, and interactive group discussions. We talked about the concept of self love and practiced affirmations - so important for kids of any age to start seeing themselves in a positive light! Each child decorated a box full of hand-written affirmations to take home and continue practicing positive self-talk.
March - Just My Luck
Our Kid’s Karma event for March was centered around the idea of luck! We explored how luck shows itself in our lives and how it is interpreted in other cultures. We went all out with a manifestation meditation, a short yoga flow incorporating "lucky" poses, mantra work, a craft, and lots of fun!
April - Earth Day
Our Earth Day yoga and recycled art workshop in April was so much fun! The kids were guided with a meditation, yoga poses and mantras for gratitude, a discussion about acts of kindness towards the earth, and created a bird feeder art project!
June - Reggae Jam
We had a fun introduction to our summer Kid’s Karma events! Our June workshop was full of reggae, discussions on acts of kindness within community needs, and a summer art project, along with yoga and matrawork. The kids loved painting, making bracelets, and singing!D
